Love Street Stages Successful Spring Music Festival

April 5, 2009

Thanks to everyone who made our first spring music festival fundraiser a success!  We’ll have to do it again!   Bohemeos‘ setting and hospitality was great (try the shrimp tacos!).   We enjoyed meeting all of you who came out.   Hope you had a good time.  Macey the henna artist/hula hooper added to the vibe, didn’t she?  Most of all, thanks to all the great bands who played in support of what we are doing.  We couldn’t have done it without you.  I was asked several times how we got such a great lineup.  My answer: I put a call out to our mailing list.  So it’s really a testament to the Houston music community as a whole.  Thanks again!

    Dear Patrick:

We wanted to thank you and everyone at Love Street Light Circus for a wonderful stunt this afternoon. We had a blast and really enjoyed seeing the International Coffee Building activated! There is so much potential for the building once it is renovated. We welcome more discussions and collaboration with Love Street in the future and hope to share this piece of Houston’s history with future generations!

    Howdy,

I am a friend of Guy’s (love street light circus drummer). I’d like to volunteer to help out on your shows. I am a general contractor. I can build anything, yes anything. I am a very good carpenter, plumber and fair electrician. If you need a roadie, I’ll do that. I’m volunteering. Use me where ever needed. I love your cause, I love music and I love the Beatles.

    Dear Patrick,
I want to thank you and Love Street for your support and understanding during this difficult time. I know everyone in the band was very excited about the prospect of opening the show at Bohemeos. Guy Vincent - our shared drummer - said all of the bands were fanatastic. We were very happy to hear that the Music Fest was such a success. Sounds like it was a very cool event. I hope we can help out in the future. On behalf of myself and Straitjacket, thanks again.
